MESOLAB

Workout tracker for iPhone

Plan your block. Log every set. See what you trained.

Mesolab is a hypertrophy workout tracker. Build a mesocycle with progression and a deload built in, log weight, reps and RIR against clear targets, and keep a history the next workout can draw on.

  • Free to download
  • Your first completed workout is free
  • iPhone, iOS 26 or later
Mesolab's set screen for Flat Barbell Bench Press: set 2 of 5, 8 to 12 reps at RIR 2, a suggested 135 lb for 11 at RIR 2 with a Use button, a rep-to-beat bar, and weight and reps fields.

Built for lifters who train in blocks

Mesolab is for people training for muscle: you follow a program across weeks, you track how hard each set was, and you want the next session to reflect the last one. It is not a running app, a calorie counter or a video library.

What Mesolab does

Real app screens.

Log sets with clear targets

Every programmed set shows its rep range and target RIR, with a suggested weight when your history or starting calibration supports it. Enter what you actually did: weight, reps and RIR. Add, swap or reorder exercises mid-session, minimize the workout without losing your place, and correct a set if you make a mistake.

Plan your training block

Pick a split and your training days, say whether you train for size, strength or both, and tap up to three muscles to bring up. Mesolab builds the block from the equipment in your gym: you see every exercise and each muscle's weekly sets against its muscle-building range, and you can swap any exercise by tapping it and picking one of two suggested swaps or "Choose from all exercises" before you start. You can also start from a saved block or build your own. Progression and a deload are built in, and you can adjust the block as you go.

The muscle-building ranges are training references based on the MEV, MAV and MRV volume landmarks, not a measurement of your personal recovery. See the values for every muscle in the free sets per muscle calculator.

See the muscles you trained

Finish a workout and get a Workout Map: the muscles you worked, your completed working sets and the duration, on a receipt you can save to Photos or share. Edit the title on the card and choose which metrics it shows.

See your progress

Progress leads with a lift's estimated one-rep max across this block or all time. Below it: a body map of the muscles you trained in the last four weeks, each against its weekly range; how many of your planned workouts you made; and your newest bests. Past sessions stay in your workout history with their actual sets, and your optional joint pain, pump and workload feedback still turns into recommendations.

What RIR means

RIR is reps in reserve: how many more reps you could have done before failure. Mesolab logs it beside every set, so effort is part of your record rather than a guess, and the app can tell the difference between a heavy set and a hard one.

Works with Apple Health

With your permission, Mesolab saves each completed strength-training workout (start, end and duration) to Apple Health. It never reads your Health data, and training works the same whether or not you connect.

Free to start. Pay only to keep training.

Download Mesolab free. Your first completed workout is free, with no automatic paid conversion and nothing to cancel.

After that, continued workout access is a subscription. Weekly, monthly and yearly plans give the same access; your existing history stays readable either way.

Questions

Is Mesolab free?

Downloading is free and your first completed workout is free. Continuing to train after that needs a weekly, monthly or yearly subscription. There is no automatic conversion from the free workout to a paid plan.

Do I need an account?

Yes. Plans and history are stored with your account. You can delete the account and its data from Profile at any time; that does not cancel an Apple subscription, which you manage in your Apple account.

Does it work on Android or iPad?

No Android app exists. Mesolab is designed for iPhone; it can run on iPad in iPhone compatibility mode, but the layout is not designed for it.

What is a mesocycle?

A training block of several weeks that builds volume toward a peak, then deloads. Mesolab plans one for you or lets you build your own, and tracks each week against it. Try the planner without an account in the free mesocycle generator.

What is the web app?

A signed-in planning surface at mesolab.app/app that predates the iPhone app. It stays available for existing accounts; new features ship in the iPhone app.

How do I cancel?

In your Apple account's subscription settings. Deleting the app or your Mesolab account does not cancel a subscription.
