What a Workout Map shows
When you finish a workout, Mesolab can make a Workout Map: a receipt-style card with the muscles you trained highlighted on a body diagram, your completed working sets and how long the session took. It is the part of Mesolab most people first see on someone else's phone.
What is on the card
- A title. By default the workout's name (Upper B, Push A). You can edit the title shown on the card without renaming the workout in your history.
- The muscles you trained, highlighted on a front and back body diagram. A muscle lights up when you logged working sets for an exercise that trains it.
- Working sets: the number of sets you actually logged in that workout. Planned sets you did not do are not counted; sets you added on the day are.
- Duration: the time the workout was active, from start to finish.
You choose which metrics appear. If you would rather share the map without the numbers, turn them off before you save.
What it deliberately leaves out
The card shows the shape of the session, not your log. Weights, reps and RIR stay in your history. That is a design choice: the map is for showing what you trained, and it can be shared without publishing what you lift.
Making one
- Finish a workout. The summary screen offers Share Workout Map. You can also open any past workout from History and make a map later.
- Edit the title if you want, and choose the metrics to include.
- Choose Save Image to add it to Photos, or Share to send it anywhere the iOS share sheet can reach. Allow Photos access when asked if you want to save.
Making a map is optional and never a step you have to complete to finish a workout.
Why a receipt
Most training screenshots are a wall of numbers that mean nothing to anyone but the lifter. A receipt reads at a glance: what you trained, how much, how long. It is honest about effort without turning a session into a scoreboard, and it looks like the thing it is, a record of work done.
Common questions
Why is a muscle not highlighted?
Only exercises with logged working sets count. Warm-ups you did not log and exercises you skipped do not light anything up. If you logged sets and a muscle you expected is missing, the exercise is tagged to a different primary muscle than you assumed.
Can I change the title without renaming the workout?
Yes. The card title is separate from the workout's name in History.
Does sharing publish my workout?
No. The map is an image that you save or send yourself. Nothing is posted anywhere by Mesolab, and your account and history are not exposed.
What if I finished the workout by accident?
Tap Continue Workout on the summary, or reopen the workout from History. Your logged sets stay with it, and you can make the map when you are actually done.
